A new report came out that Kardashian clan member Kylie Jenner spent a whopping $10 thousand dollars on food and delivery services Postmates in 2018. But she's not the only one guilty being lazy and getting things delivered. Food Delivery apps are known for being a service that offers convenient delivery of everyday things that you need. There are many varieties out there, from UberEats, GrubHub, Favor, Postmates and more, you have plenty of options of getting what you need and want to deliver right to your door.

Postmates does a feature called The Receipts, where they highlight users of their app and show what some of the items they order are. They had Kylie Jenner's Postmates receipts and it turns out that the youngest of the Kardashian clan ordered more than ten thousand dollars in delivery in 2018. One shocking order the young entrepreneur had was for a single carrot that she needed for a matzo ball soup she was making. Many people have been shocked at the amount of money she's spent using the app and even more are appalled at the ridiculous carrot receipt. But the question is, how many of us are guilty of stupid delivery orders like hers? We decided to look at a couple expensive, silly, stupid and even necessary orders that were made by some people and hear their explanation of why they felt it was better to get it delivered than go and purchase the items themselves. Here are a few examples:

Joanna:

  • July 18th at 1:38 a.m.
    • Ordered 2 bacon egg and cheese biscuits, 2 large fries and 40 chicken McNuggets
      • She has no idea why she made this order but assumes it was for her and one friend. No idea why the 40 nuggets were necessary

Lisa:

  • July 23rd at 8:05 p.m.
    • Ordered Pesto Pasta Salad, House Salad with Chicken and Mashed Potatoes
      • This order was ridiculous because it was from a restaurant less than TWO BLOCKS AWAY, just didn't want to get out of bed
  • October 17th at 2:23 p.m.
    • Ordered Large Iced Coffee with Milk and a Large Americano Iced
      • Especially ridiculous because it was for me and my trainer who didn't want to drive the half an exit away to the coffee shop
  • January 26 at 1:14 p.m.
    • Ordered a dozen donuts and 2 large Iced Coffees
      • Really just wanted the coffees but felt like I should get the donuts so it didn't look as bad
  • December 16th at 8:33 p.m.
    • Ordered 1 chocolate milkshake and 1 oreo milkshake
      • Pretty sure I just was craving something sweet and didn't want to get up

Other People's Delivery Orders:

Turning to social media for more crazy food delivery orders, my friends did not disappoint by giving their own hilarious orders that they felt were necessary at the time. They also reminded me of my own dumb orders that I made when I was with them. Thanks Brian and Sari. Here are a few of the best:

  • Nicole- When I'm hungover and want soda, I'll order the chocolate lava cakes from domino's just so I can have a two liter of coke.
  • Liz- My little brother works for uber eats in LA and a man ordered a Dr. Pepper at 2 in the morning. He paid $22 for a large soda lmao
  • Katherine- I took an Uber three blocks up the street to get beer because it was cold and I didn’t want to walk...
  • Sheila-  I was so hungover one time that i ordered like 100 dollars worth of Pedialyte and then pretended it was for my sick daughter when the guy came to deliver it. He was so nice- he gave me a lollipop for my fake daughter.
  • Carlos- I’ve paid $32 for a Chick-fil-A sandwich
  • Melanie- We ordered broccoli Mac and cheese and whatever else at 3 am and by the time it got to us were so tired, took two bites and passed out. Probably like $45.
  • Jason- 15 dollars for a cup of egg drop soup
  • Sari- That one time you (Lisa) came to visit me in L.A. and you ordered $60 worth of California Pizza Kitchen while I was at work. (This was totally worth it btw)
  • Jared- I delivered Lorenzo's (Italian restaurant) to a house maybe a mile down the street from the restaurant. They wanted to pay cash but only had a $100 bill and we don't carry enough change for the return I would have to give the customer (There is a disclaimer so the customer was aware). So they drove up the street to a gas station maybe a quarter mile from Lorenzo's to break the $100 and then drive back and pay me.
  • Kritzia- My boyfriend and I ordered Uber Eats four times in one day. (I've done that too)
  • Erin- After college, I’d make my college boyfriend who lived in Houston send me a pizza whenever I was hungover. He’d always do it but would always add pineapple to inconvenience me because I hate picking pineapple off pizza.
  • Jeff- Every time I order something for Lulu I feel like the app tells me: "Your food order total is $1, and your low delivery fee is only $30!" She would roll her eyes and answer about how it was for her convenience
  • Peter- I can honestly say nobody compares to you (Lisa) and your ridiculous use of ordering food within a 2 block radius.
  • And finally here is an example of how ridiculous I can be from my best friend Brian- I had a "friend" one time at 2 am order dominos pizza for the next morning as she was in line at jimmy johns ordering a combo for right then...Lisa.....
