Taco Cabana has announced they will be closing 19 locations of the fast-food restaurant. Some big changes are in store for some Taco Cabana locations in the Lone Star state. A press release this week from their parent company announced the closure of 19 of their Texas locations. According to Austin360, most of the closures were in the Houston and Dallas- Fort Worth areas. There was also one closure in the greater Austin area, one in San Antonio and one in New Braunsfels, per KSAT in San Antonio.

The company's president and CEO Richard Stockinger said the closures were due to financial reasons and the company decided to close stores that were underperforming. Stockinger did point out that the majority of the workers at the shuttered stores would be offered jobs at different Taco Cabana locations. Read more about this story at the Texas Monthly website.
