New Mexico Named One Of The Most Stressed States In New Report
A new report from WalletHub names New Mexico as the second most stressed state in America. Americans seem more and more like stress is really affecting our health and overall happiness in our everyday lives. There are many ways you can alleviate stress and remove yourself from toxic environments, but you may also want to move to the Midwest. The personal finance website WalletHub compared all 50 states and Washington, D.C. and looked at stress indicators including: hours worked per week, hours of sleep per night, adults average health, job security, credit score, affordable housing, population living below poverty line, divorce rate, crime rate and more.
When judging off of these indicators, the state of New Mexico didn't fair well. New Mexico came in as the 2nd Most Stressed State, beat only by Louisiana. Rounding out the top 5 were West Virginia, Mississippi and Nevada. New Mexico had the second highest percentage of the population living below the poverty line and the second highest crime rate per Capita. You can read more about this report at the WalletHub website.
