Dream Theater Unveil ‘Paralyzed’ Music Video

Dream Theater are nearing the release of their new album, Distance Over Time, and have just issued a music video for the single "Paralyzed."

This song, the third pre-release track to be shared, confirms the darker and heavier tone of the album that was established on "Fall Into the Light" and "Untethered Angel." It would appear the prog metal icons have had their ears to the ground in regards to the current metal landscape, deploying articulate, bottom-heavy riffs that aren't a far cry from the djent scene.

Absolute masters of their domain, it's proof that despite being around for over three decades, Dream Theater still have fresh ground to tread.

"The song is an introspective reflection on the negative impact that being obstinate or single-minded can have on important relationships," comments John Petrucci.

Distance Over Time, the band's 14th studio album, will be released on Feb. 22 through InsideOut Music. Pre-order your copy here. They'll embark on a North American headlining tour beginning in May and the complete list of stops can be viewed below.
