1 Dead From Package Explosion In Austin, 2nd Time In 2 Weeks
1 teenage boy is dead and a woman was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after a package exploded in Austin, the second time in 2 weeks. Austin police are investigating a deadly explosion in Austin that happened early this morning. The Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services received a call from a home in Central East Austin around 6:45 am local time. A teenage male was pronounced dead at the scene and a female in her 40s was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported. This is the second package explosion in Austin in less than a month.
On March 2nd, Anthony Stephan House died after a package was placed on his home's front porch. Police called the incident a "suspicious death" and are still investigating that incident.
