The COVID pandemic shows no signs of slowing down as we enter year 2. Businesses all over San Angelo have been hit hard, with many businesses going under.

Which is why it pains me to inform you that two more local establishments, Kenny Blanek's Village Cafe, and The Talley Press which has been in San Angelo for 96 years, have closed their doors permanently.

The news about Kenny Blanek's Village Cafe was shared on a Facebook post that read:

We regret to inform our customers that we have closed the doors to the Cafe. We will continue to offer limited catering
FMI call 325-942-1647 or 325-650-2776.
We appreciate your business, support and friendship over the years.

Meanwhile, after opening in 1924 the owners of The Talley Press have officially retired.

They were a well established printing shop and are now selling their equipment including:

  • Copy shop equipment
  • Large quantity printing equipment
  • Letterpress Equipment

According to their website.

We just want to take this time to thank both of these businesses for being part of the San Angelo community for all these years.

Remember, during these tough times, it is always best to think of our neighbors who are struggling.
