Troy Aikman Defends Andrew Luck’s Retirement Decision
Andrew Luck shocked the football world this past weekend by announcing his retirement. It's a bit lengthy but here is his announcement.
Doug Gottlieb took a swing at Luck by saying:
Retiring cause rehabbing is "too hard" is the most millennial thing ever #AndrewLuck
Well, that didn't sit well with former Dallas Cowboy quarterback Troy Aikman, so he responded.
Aikman was famously forced from the game of football due to concussions, so he knows something about this topic.
Luck was one of those quarterbacks that everyone knew would go number 1 when he declared for the draft. His Stanford stats:
- 9,430 yards
- 82 touchdowns
- 22 interceptions
He ended up going number 1 overall in 2012 to the Indianapolis Colts. His pro stats include:
- 23,271 yards
- 171 touchdowns
- 83 interceptions
If you aren't a fan of Andrew Luck, just watch this video of him being rather complimentary of opponents hitting skills.
