‘The Godfather’ Sucks, Change My Mind

The Godfather is considered one of the greatest if not THEE greatest movie of all time.

• The Hollywood Reporter has it ranked number 1.
• Empire Online has is ranked number 1.
• IMDb has it ranked number 1.
• Business Insider has it ranked number 2, only behind Citizen Kane.

I've always been on the outside looking in when it comes to popular trends, music, movies, etc. I don't do it on purpose, but I was almost hipster before hipsters. I have always liked the less popular things. Not all the time, but most of the time.

One instance where this is certainly true comes to The Godfather. I have tried many times to watch it, and just can't get through it. I feel like I should like it. It has phenomenal actors, it's about the mafia. These are two things that point to me liking this movie. But I just can't get through it.

Do I actually hate it? No. I just can't get through it. But this is one of those situations where it's incredibly funny watching how bent out of shape people get when you tell them you don't like something that they think is the greatest.

I am going to try again to get through it, except this time I'm going to start with The Godfather Part II. Buzz recommended maybe I jump to this just to get through it. So I think I'll try that. But on that note, I figured this was worthy of a poll, how do you feel about The Godfather?
