Just in time for Labor Day, WalletHub has released a list of the hardest working states in the US. The following factors were used in the study:

  • Average Workweek Hours
  • Employment Rate
  • Idle Youth Rate
  • Annual Volunteer Hours per Resident
  • Average Leisure Time Spent per Day

Texas was only in the top 5 in one of these categories and that was 'Average Workweek Hours'. Texas came in 4th on the list behind Alaska, North Dakota, and Wyoming. Despite that, Texas still came in 4th on the list overall. Here is the complete list of Hardest-Working States in the US.
