It was a story I blogged about over a week ago that you can find HERE. Round Rock, Texas is scheduled to have the US Quidditch Cup in 2018. But, the controversial bathroom bill could prevent it from happening.

The US Quidditch Cup is scheduled to happen next year (2018) on April 14th and 15th. The "real life" version of the game can be best described as a combination of rugby, basketball, and dodge ball, but with significantly less contact.

For the time being though, the tournament as been put on hold while legislators discuss the bathroom bill during their special session, said Round Rock Mayor Craig Morgan. Us Quidditch has told the city that it wouldn't sign the contract until it finds out what happens with the bathroom bill.

“If events start leaving I think we will have to increase taxes or cut services if it becomes a big enough impact,” said Morgan.
