Movie Poems Volume 2 by Brandon Coates
Today is National Dress Up Your Pet Day. So today's movie poems are all movies with or about pets.
- A dog escapes from a crime
A vet who is a real slime
A jealous dad
And a family that’s sad
A bite to the nuts just in time - His transfer would give him glee
There’s a murder and food from the sea
The villain takes pics
Corrupt police chief in the mix
A marriage and a litter for he - Not your typical kind of pet
Just make sure he doesn’t get wet
Lots more will spawn
The battle is on
In the end, they diffuse the threat - He’s a big time TV star
But he will soon have to travel far
He befriends a hamster and cat
Who steal food from a flying rat
They quit because the agent has gone too far - A chase that ends in a bat bite
A cheating wife leads to a fight
The two locked in a car
Safety seems so far
Through the window he takes flight - The twins end up being a pain
So she winds up tied to a chain
To get loose is the key
To live footloose and collar-free
A litter of four is what they gain - His job is to sing and play
There’s a big family soon one day
To steal them and more
Is her real chore
They gain too many and have to move away
