July 13th is National French Fry Day…Here’s How To Score Freebies
I can't imagine any burger, hotdog, or some steaks unless they include some delicious french fries on the side. It seems altogether fitting and proper that here in San Angelo, we celebrate the deliciousness of the french fry at least one day a year.
That day is Wednesday, July 13th.
Of course the major burger chains have free fries offers. McDonalds is offering a free large order of french fries when you order through their app. You can also get a free 10 piece McNuggets if you are new to the McDonald's App.
Wendys understands that fries need more than a day of celebration. They also just introduced a whole new french fry recipe, so no doubt they're milking it for all they can with a whole week of free fries through the 15th. Of course, to get the free fries offer, customers will have to use the Wendy's mobile app.
I cry foul on that. I remember the old days when a free offer just meant going through the drive thru and saying "give me the free fries". Now, I'm sounding like the old man next door telling the neighborhood kids to "get off my lawn". Sorry, I digress.
Burger King has already been giving away free fries every week of 2022 through its "Frequent Fry'er" Program. They're celebrating National French Fry Day by offering a free order of their chicken fries. Again, you have to order with their mobile app. Just like the free medium tots or fries with any in-app Sonic Offer.
All that is well and good but who has the best fries in San Angelo?
My guess is that it isn't any of the places I already mentioned. Which restaurant here in San Angelo do you think has the best french fries. Please let us know on social media or our app. We would love to do a top five or top ten list of the best fries in San Angelo.
Also, if your restaurant or a restaurant you visit often is offering a free fries deal on National French Fry Day, let us know. We want to share your love and respect for the French Fry along with the big chain stores. That is especially if your free fry offer is "no strings attached". Who wants to order through a mobile app to get the offer? Obviously, not me.
