Johnny Manziel's football comeback had been stalled a bit as he was stuck behind one of the CFL's best quarterbacks, Jeremiah Masoli. Well, now Johnny Football is going to get the chance to shine as he's been traded.

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have traded the Heisman trophy winning quarterback out of Texas A&M, along with two offensive lineman to the Montreal Alouettes. In exchange, the Tiger-Cats will be getting a defensive end, a wide receiver, and first round picks in 2020, and 2022.

Manziel hasn't played in the regular season for the Tiger-Cats, but he did look sharp inthe pre-season and gained lots of praise from his coach, June Jones. Expectations aren't exactly high for Manziel, as he steps in for Montreal, who aren't exactly lighting up the stat lines. Here are the QBs they've had so far this:

  • Willy: 65.8%, 566 YDS, 3 TD, 1 INT, 94.2 EFF
  • Mathews: 86.8%, 396 YDS, 1 TD, 1 INT, 86.8 EFF
  • Shiltz: 62.1%, 160 YDS, 1 TD, 2 INT, 62.1 EFF
