American Horror Story always has great timing. They usually starts their season around Halloween time, a time where everyone is starting to get in a spooky mood. As an avid viewer of AHS, I have to admit they usually have a pretty good Halloween episode, but it does have it's flaws.

If you've listened to the morning show then you know our constant complaint about the show; it starts out great and by the time it gets to the end it falls apart. This may not be true for all seasons (Murder House, Cult, Apocalypse) but by the time you get to the end it's almost as if Ryan Murphy remembered story lines he had forgotten and scrambles to put it all together. Sometimes it fails (Asylum) and sometimes all of it coming together makes sense- kind of (Apocalypse).

The return of AHS with 1984 means brand new story lines and scares. I have not seen an episode of the new season but I am hearing great things about it. With Halloween just around the corner, I'm sure more and more great things will come out of AHS. Every year I look forward to seeing the Halloween episode, and every year I look forward to seeing everyone come up with AHS inspired costumes (The Countess from Hotel is always a big hit on Halloween).

If you don't want to spend the time watching the eight previous seasons and only want to see some highlights, then I'm here for you. Let's look back at 13 great/shocking/disturbing/fabulous moments from the previous eight seasons of American Horror Story. Spoilers for some of these, obviously, if you haven't seen some of the seasons.
