Seriously, you need to watch this video. It’s something you would expect if Disney ever did the live action remake of Ratatouille .

The story begins when a retired gentleman in England started noticing that items in his work shed were not where he’d left them the day before. Specifically, the items were being put stashed away neatly in plastic container. The 72 year old retired technician at first worried that he was beginning to lose his memory. So, he very deliberately left the items out. The next day, they were back in the container.

Now, at this point, I would be thinking “I’ve got a House Elf, obviously”. Not everyone is a Rowling fan, though, and this gentleman began to think of other supernatural possibilities.

“The kids were saying it was a ghost”, said Mr. Stephen Mckears of Gloucestershire.

So, if you think you have a ghost in your shed, who you gonna call? That’s right. Your neighbor who has video recording equipment.

The two men set up a camera. Here’s what it captured:

Yeah, that’s a common mouse working like a meth-head to tidy-up around Mr. McKears’ work shed. McKears said the industrious mouse continues his nocturnal cleaning-up to this day and he has no intention of demouseifiying the shed.

In fact, I think this could be the beginning of a useful evolutionary adaptation for rodents. Maybe humans wouldn’t be so quick to set traps and try to exterminate them if they did a little housework to earn their keep. Honestly, if there was a raccoon that would iron shirts I’d probably let him stay.
