Disney Creating Fireworks You Can Feel for Blind People
Disney is known for its innovation and for being on the front lines of technology when it comes to providing the bet customer experience possible. And it's time to chalk another one up for Disney in the "we didn't know that was possible" column.
Along with being on the forefront of technology, another thing Disney is known for is its fireworks shows. There is a section of the population though that can't really experience the fireworks display. The blind. But not for long, if Disney has their way.
Disney is currently working on a system that would allow the blind to be able to truly experience the fireworks show. How does it work?
To experience "feeling fireworks," a person puts their hands on a large, special screen. Then different nozzles shoot out water in the pattern of the fireworks, and also make noises that recreate the sounds of those fireworks.
This is still in the demo phase, but it's apparently been very successful so far and will most likely make its way to the general public.
