Chino Moreno keeps busy, as Deftones diehards know: Team Sleep, ††† (Crosses) and Palms are just a few of the musician's extra outlets and don't forget Saudade, who just released the new song "Shadows and Light."

While his main act chips away at an impending ninth studio album, Moreno himself has teamed up with singer Chelsea Wolfe on the Saudade track. Listen to the languid "Shadows & Light" from Moreno's supergroup below.

The haunting track — the first new Saudade song in three years — is led by the ethereal coo of goth-rock impresario Wolfe, while Moreno's trademark harmonies materialize in an anthemic refrain. Not to mention the screaming guitar solo that lights up the tune at the 3-minute mark.

That blistering lick comes courtesy of Saudade's members, listed as guitarist Dr. Know (Bad Brains), keyboardist John Medeski (Medeski, Martin & Wood), ††† bassist Chuck Doom and Team Sleep drummer Gil Sharone.

However, Dr. Know doesn't appear on “Shadows & Light”, as pointed out by Consequence of Sound, but the track does include jazz fusion guitarist David Torn and Weather Report percussionist Bobby Thomas.

"The song that we did was me, Chino and Chuck Doom, and it turned out really cool," Wolfe told Revolver of the tune. "It's really different from Deftones and really different than my music. It's something special and unique."

Saudade's debut, self-titled single dropped back in 2016.
