In a move that could bring a tear to my eye, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints delivered a donation of 20,000 lbs of food to the Concho Valley Food Bank. Half of their total 41,000 lbs deliver. The other half will be going to the the Food Bank of West Central Texas in Abilene.

It is believed that this will feed over 15,000 meals to local recipients.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints reportedly sent 32 total semi trucks to food banks all across Texas after last weeks storm.

Just one amazing example of people helping people.

It doesn't matter what religion you are, or what state you're from, when your fellow human is suffering and there is something you can do to help.

Like they say in Spider Man:

With great power, come's great responsibility.

If you would like to help those in your area, you too can donate to the San Angelo food bank, either money or food.

Click here for the details on the food bank, who the donations help, and just general info about it.

If you want to make an in person food donation, they are located at 1313 South Hill street.

The Concho Valley Food Bank programs reach over half a million individuals each year and serve 13 counties across the Concho Valley.
