The Angelo State University Athletic Department continues to impress with their teams in fall sports.

You may remember, the Rams baseball team made it to the Division II College World Series back in the Spring and now three of ASU's teams are playing in the postseason here in November.

The #6 Belle Volleyball team is hosting the Lone Star Conference Tournament at the Junell Center on campus. The Belles were an impressive 16-1 in the LSC this year winning the regular season championship earning the right to host the tournament. The Belles were upset by UTPB in five sets during the quarterfinals of the tournament last night and will now wait until Monday to see where they will be seeded in the NCAA Division II Tournament.

The Ram football team is in the Division II playoffs and host a first round game tomorrow afternoon. The Rams will tangle with Minnesota-Duluth in the first ever matchup between the two programs. According to the Angelo State Athletic Department:

Seeded second in Super Region Four and advancing to the NCAA Division II playoffs for the first time since the 2014 season, the Angelo State football team will host seventh-seeded Minnesota – Duluth on Saturday. It is the seventh time ASU has made the playoffs in Division II and the first time hosting a playoff game since 2005.

Tomorrow's game kicks off at 1 pm at LeGrand Stadium at 1st Community Credit Union Field.

And fresh off their LSC Tournament Championship, the Belle Soccer team will take on Westminster in the first round of the NCAA Division II South Central Regionals today at 1 pm on the Dallas Baptist University campus.

Best of luck to all the Angelo State teams in the playoffs. Let's hope they bring home some hardware. Go Rams! And Go Belles!
