Alexisonfire shared a cryptic tweet earlier (Feb. 1) teasing a brief video and audio sample that may serve as a hint that new music is coming.

The group has also changed all of their social media thumbnails to a solid black image. Though no official announcement has been made, guitarist Dallas Green told Pedestrian.TV in an interview this past December that it feels like the "perfect time" for the band to make new music together. Green's recent priority has been a sixth record with City & Colour, but says "you never know" regarding the overdue return of Alexisonfire. "There’s some angry moments on the new record. Obviously, they’re a lot more subtle than the angry moments on an Alexis record," he says.

Alexisonfire's last studio album release was 2010's Dog's Blood  EP before they broke up in 2011, however they have since performed several reunion shows together over the past few years.
