It's seems there's always a new weight loss fad every few months. Whether it's a diet or a work out routine, some work, and some are completely bogus. Either way, you may or may not try them out depending on the difficulty of the fad. Well, this one seems pretty easy. Just drink tequila to lose weight.

No, this doesn't have to do with drinking so much you puke your guts out. There is actual science behind it. Since tequila is made from the agave plant, you're getting the natural sugars from the plant.:

  • They lower your blood sugar
  • They help make you feel fuller
  • They help healthy bacteria grow in your mouth and intestines

This isn't to say that if you're looking to lose some weight you can just drink a bunch of tequila and eat whatever you want. What it does mean, is if you are on a diet and want to go out drinking, tequila is a good option.
