Our San Angelo Symphony Orchestra is bringing you another awesome concert performance but due to the pandemic, it will happen in a different way this time.

The Symphony Orchestra will present their scheduled performance this Saturday, March 6th in the Murphey Performance Hall but rather than a 7 pm performance with a live audience, it will be recorded at 2 pm for digital playback which can be accessed and watched throughout next week if you purchase an access ticket.

I visited with Hector Guzman, Director/Conductor of our Symphony Orchestra about the recording of the concert, how it will be accessed, where to get tickets and more. Please take a moment to check out the short interview below:

This San Angelo Symphony Orchestra concert features two of the greatest and most celebrated composers in the history of the world...Ludwig van Beethoven and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

The show will also feature Mozart’s Piano Concerto No.
21 in C Major showcasing the orchestra and special guest artist, Eduardo Rojas,
in a performance that balances forcefulness, elegance and wit.

Courtney Mahaffey, executive Director said the following...."Thanks to you, our loyal patrons, the San Angelo Symphony has created a longtime legacy of music and music education. Now more than ever, subscribing early helps us to have the financial means to confidently continue as the heart of classical music in San Angelo. These uncertain times have not been lost on our organization and our concert season reflects the new course we will take due to the impact of Covid-19. When you subscribe, you will
not only enrich your musical experience with exclusive benefits, you will also help to open doors of live symphonic music beyond the concert hall, which is more important than ever now. We invite you to browse this season’s brochure and share in the joy of live music. We appreciate your commitment to the arts, the unwavering support of our musicians, and the future of your local
symphony orchestra. Subscribe today and join us on this musical journey of discovery. It’s the 2020-2021 season of your San Angelo Symphony."
