It was day four of the Winter Olympics from South Korea, and it was an action packed day. Here is your Winter Olympic update:

  1. US snowboarder Chloe Kim dominated the competition to win gold in the women's halfpipe. The US also took bronze with the Arielle Gold coming in third.
  2. It's the fourth Olympics for Shaun White (which feels strange to say because in my brain he's still that young kid in the Turin Olympics). He started off this Winter Olympics in grad fashion as he got the top two qualifying runs in the men's halfpipe. He will be in the finals tonight.
  3. US speedskater Brittany Bowe missed out on a medal as she finished 5th in the 1,500 meter Long Track event. She missed the bronze by just 12 seconds. This won't be Bowe's only chance at a medal though as she still has the 1,000 meter race, the 500 meter, and the Team Pursuit event coming up next Monday.
  4. Currently Norway is the leader in the medal count with 9. Germany, the Netherlands, and Canada are tied with 7. And the US is in 5th with 6 total medals.
