Walmart, the nations biggest retailer has made a huge move, removing all guns and ammo from the sales floors in preparation for the election.

"We have seen some isolated civil unrest, and as we have done on several occasions over the last few years, we have moved our firearms and ammunition off the sales floor as a precaution for the safety of our associates and customers."

Walmart spokesperson to CBS

They say the guns and ammo will still be available to customers for purchase, they will just not be accessible on the sales floors in order to deter burglary in the coming days.

Walmart is no stranger to unique gun policies, they removed all ammo that can go in semi automatic weapons back in 2016, and claimed they would remove guns altogether after the murder of George Floyd.

Walmart CEO Doug McMillon however has not removed guns however, he says they will focus on the weapons used exclusively for hunting and sport.
