The Black Dahlia Murder have been forced to pull out of Max and Igorr Cavalera’s ‘Return to Roots’ tour due to “dire need for an emergency surgery.”

Max and Igorr have been performing Sepultura’s landmark Roots album in full, traveling across North America to deliver the 20-year-old record to thousands of fans. The Black Dahlia Murder were scheduled to open for the Cavalera brothers during three Canadian shows (Oct. 10-12) before dropping out. The fine people of Ottawa, Toronto and Montreal will sadly have to go without their TBDM fix this time around.

The Black Dahlia Murder shared this post via Facebook:

The band hasn’t revealed who exactly needs emergency surgery. Whether a band member or loved one outside the act must go under the knife is currently unknown. However, The Black Dahlia Murder have assured fans they still plan to perform at Knotfest in Mexico come Oct. 15.

We'd like to extend our best wishes to the band during this difficult time. The Black Dahlia Murder will embark on a co-headlining U.S. tour with Napalm Death beginning Nov. 1 in New Mexico. For those tour dates and additional TBDM side gigs, click here.
