The Church of England will not allow the tombstone of a recently deceased man to have the modified lyric of a Rolling Stones song etched into it. The family of Charles Clapham hoped to use the line "It was only rock 'n' roll" as an epitaph, but the church dismissed the idea as flippant.

While they may not be celebrating their 50th anniversary quite as enthusiastically as some fans might have wanted, the Rolling Stones appear to have gotten back into gear with their latest tour -- and guitarist Ron Wood thinks these dates will serve as a springboard into more new music from the group.

The upcoming Rolling Stones tour will see the band performing in the biggest venues in the world, but on Saturday night (April 27), the Stones played a tour preview gig at a tiny Los Angeles club, wowing the crowd with a 14-song set that included an appearance by former guitarist Mick Taylor.

Tom Petty once sang, "The waiting is the hardest part." Presumably, Petty was referring to nearly a year's worth of teasing by the Rolling Stones on whether or not they would launch another full-scale tour. However, it would appear that we will only have to wait a few more days to learn all the information.
