P.O.D. may be homers for the San Diego Chargers, but with their team out of the playoff picture, they'll travel to Atlanta this weekend to serve up some hard-hitting rock for those in attendance at the NFC Championship game. The rockers have been chosen as the halftime performers at the event, in part, due to the popularity of one of their tracks during Falcons football games.
Just a few weeks ago, Shinedown and Three Days Grace announced the first leg of a co-headlining U.S. tour that kicks off in February 2013. Now, the two bands have added a second leg of dates to the trek.
P.O.D. was scheduled to perform in Ventura, Calif. Sunday (Oct. 28), but canceled the gig after some controversy erupted with the venue. Originally scheduled for the Ventura County Fairgrounds, the Hell's Coming festival was moved to a smaller venue after fairground officials objected to the lyrical content of the P.O.D. song, 'Youth of the Nation.'
In conjunction with their upcoming greatest hits disc due out this November, 3 Doors Down will spend the majority of the winter months out on a run of co-headlining U.S. tour dates with Daughtry. The trek kicks off on Nov. 17 in Tunica, Miss., and is scheduled to wrap on Dec. 15 in Anaheim, Calif.
