High school students would normally be getting ready to take admissions tests for College at this time. But the Corona virus has created issues with testing.

Test days have been canceled or postponed and there are concerns being raised about all students having equal access when tests are administered. As a result, many Texas universities have made the decision to become test-optional through 2021.

Because of COVID-19, SAT and ACT exams are being waived through 2021 at a growing number of Universities including Baylor University, Texas Tech University, Texas Christian University, Southern Methodist University and St. Edward's University.

Some of the largest universities in Texas say they will still require the testing while others have yet to decide.

There have also been questions raised as to how effective the test are regarding a students potential and aptitude in being accepted at a university or not based on these scores.
