Marijuana legalization has never been more popular in the United States, with opinion polls consistently finding that about 50 percent of Americans are now in favor of making pot legal.

That sentiment, however, doesn’t seem to extend to harder drugs like cocaine.

Rasmussen Reports asked 1,000 adults if they would “favor or oppose legalizing cocaine and regulating it in a similar manner to the way alcohol and tobacco cigarettes are regulated today?” Eight-four percent said they would oppose legalizing cocaine, whereas 11 percent were in favor of legalizing it.

The same sample was also asked if they favor or oppose legalizing and regulating marijuana, with 56 percent giving legal weed the thumbs up.
