This year is the 75th anniversary of the largest seaborne invasion in history, also known as D-Day. To celebrate, various theaters across the US will be showing the iconic movie over 20 years after it first hit theaters. On June 2nd June 5th, over 600 theaters around the U.S. will be showing Steven Spielberg's World War II masterpiece. There will be a matinee showing at 3 p.m. and an evening show at 7 p.m. on both days.

"Saving Private Ryan" was a commercial success that critics loved that received 11 Academy Award nominations. The movie is highly regarded by many for its opening 20-minute scene which depicts the landings at Normandy in a way that was realistic and didn't glorify war, according to Military Times.
