Peaky Blinders is set to make it's return with season five to the US on Netflix on October 4th. The hit show that stars Cillian Murphy as Tommy Shelby has already premiered it's season five in the UK and now US fans eagerly await the return of season five on Netflix. As much Netflix as I've watched, I've never actually seen an episode of this show. The only thing I know is that Peaky Blinders was an actual thing in the early 19th century. Another thing I know about the show? It has one of my favorite songs as it's opening theme: "Red Right Hand" by Nick Cave.

Nick Cave is iconic. I've loved this song since I first heard it in the movie Scream back in 1996. I distinctly remember it because it was the first horror movie I saw in theaters without my mom, I went with my sister, I felt so cool. The song is perfect for the movie, it sets a great tone!

What else could be better? How about Snoop Dogg covering it? Apparently, Snoop is a big time fan of Peaky Blinders. Of course he would be a fan; American or British it doesn't matter as long as it's gangsta. He's such a big fan that not only did he cover the opening theme but creator Steven Knight has said that Snoop has been gunning for a cameo in future seasons of the British crime series as he told The Guardian:

“We get a lot of people who get in touch and want to take part. There’s Brad Pitt. Snoop Dogg. A$AP Rocky, too. I think in series six we will open the door a little to get some celebrity actors in."

We'll have to wait and see if Snoop will get a cameo in future seasons of the hit show, for now, check out his totally gangsta cover of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds' "Red Right Hand."
