Rob Zombie Wants to Do Follow-Up to ‘The Devil’s Rejects’
It's a Halloween treat! Rob Zombie has officially confirmed to Bloody-Disgusting that he will be doing a follow up to his highly praised film The Devil's Rejects. Released in 2005 and often referred to as his best film to date, The Devil's Rejects is the follow up to his 2003 feature film debut House of 1,000 Corpses. No word on when production will begin and other than a confirmation, no word on how the story will continue, if it's even possible to continue the story.
If you've never seen Rejects, it follows Otis (Bill Moseley) Baby (Sheri Moon Zombie) and Captain Spaulding (Sid Haig) as the Firefly family after they escape from a police raid after House of.. leaving even more corpses in their wake, and SPOILER ALERT! it ends with on of the coolest scenes set to Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Free Bird" with bullets flying into Otis Baby & Spaulding. It's possible that the story could pick up right after that, horror movies of course have a way of reviving characters, and it's possible that it could be a different story just set in the same Firefly universe. We'll just have to wait and see what the musician turned filmmaker has in store, in the meantime, enjoy the ending scene where we say goodbye to Otis, Baby and Spaulding.
