Papa Roach Play Live With Jacoby Shaddix’s Kid, Crowd Goes Wild
Papa Roach just dropped their 10th studio album, Who Do You Trust?, last week and are in the midst of a five-date run in California. Fans got a special treat during a recent performance of "Traumatic" where Jacoby Shaddix's young son Brixton joined the group onstage.
The little one came up during the Crooked Teeth track to help his dad with some crowd work at the 45 second mark in the Twitter video below. He screams "Get! Down! Low!," in time with the band and his vocal angst even seemed to take Jacoby by surprise. He does it a couple more times, imploring the crowd to inch closer to the floor, readying them for an explosive moment in the set.

In other Papa Roach news, Jacoby Shaddix discussed his previous battles with alcohol and mental health with WRIF (audio below), adding that he's on the verge of celebrating seven years of sobriety. "That's probably one of the best decisions I made in my life, one of the biggest changes — putting down the bottle," said the singer.
He went on to say, "I'm coming up, actually, in February on seven years of not partying and drinking. And it saved my life. Honestly, I don't think I would still be doing this if I stayed partying. You hear these stories, these tragic stories about these rock and rollers dying at such a young age, and I felt like my clock was ticking. I mean, obviously, we're all gonna go, but I just don't wanna go before my time. I've got so much more to do and so much more to say. I wanna be doing this for a long time. I wanna be a grandpa. I've got all these other things I wanna do with my life that take time. I need it."
Papa Roach will finish up their California trek tomorrow (Jan. 24) and have two U.S. tours lined up for 2019, one supporting Shinedown with Asking Alexandria on the bill as additional support, the other being a headlining jaunt with openers Asking Alexandria and Bad Wolves. See those dates below.
