Right as Obituary began their tour supporting Hatebreed, bassist Terry Butler learned the news that his 27-year-old daughter, Jona Wright, had been killed in a single vehicle car crash.

The accident occurred May 7 in Hillsborough County, Florida. Wright's two sons, ages six and 10, sustained minor injuries after the car left the road and was overturned multiple times, according to a WFLA report. It says that Wright exhibited "aggressive" behavior toward another driver before losing control of the vehicle.

Butler shared a photo of his daughter and grandchildren on Instagram and wrote the following:

We lost our beautiful Jona. Vincent & Leo lost their Mommy Tuesday, May 7th in a tragic car accident.
Thankfully the boys are ok & only suffered minor physical injuries. Their journey to healing inside will have ups & downs but it's met with a great support system & lots of love.

We are broken hearted, devastated & in disbelief. We appreciate each & every person that has reached out, it truly means alot. There will not be formal services, but rather a celebration of life. We're currently working out the details.
Thank you for all the love & support.
The Family of Jona

The children will be staying with their grandparents for the time being and a GoFundMe page has been launched to help with living expenses. "We are hoping to collect donations for the grandparents to use for the boys’ living expenses and other needs. The grandparents will use the donations as they deem fit for their necessities," reads part of a statement on the page.

Our condolences to the Wright family during this tragic time.

Hatebreed's tour with Obituary, Agnostic Front, Prong and Skeletal Remains will finish up on May 26. See the remaining stops here.
