Korn Tied for 5th Most Top 10 Rock Album Chart Debuts
They've done it again. For the 14th time in Korn's career, one of their albums has debuted inside the Billboard 200 Top 10. The Nothing, their latest record, peaked at No. 8, tying them with Van Halen for fifth most Top 10 rock album debuts.
In its first week, The Nothing amassed 33,000 copies sold with 29,000 of them coming from pure album sales (digital streaming is not factored into this number). The record was released one week after the conclusion of Korn's summer-long co-headlining tour with Alice in Chains and features new favorites such as "You'll Never Find Me," "Cold," and "Can You Hear Me."
With Van Halen notched at 14 Top 10 rock album debuts as well, only four artists stand in front of both groups: The Rolling Stones (37), The Beatles (32), Dave Matthews Band (16) and Santana (16).

On The Nothing, singer Jonathan Davis used the music as a vessel for healing after the tragic loss of his wife, Devin, who was just 39. "It’s off my chest. I’m still healing and still going through everything, but I’m learning to cope," Davis told Loudwire in an exclusive interview. "I do what I have to do," he said, adding, "I go on tour and get an opportunity to vent what I’m feeling. It’s always been my refuge, my escape, my church. Some people go get a shrink, I’ve got my music."
Korn have one remaining U.S. show this year at the Aftershock Festival and have already booked a handful of 2020 dates in Europe. For tickets, head here.
