El Paso Passport Office Extends Hours for Busy Travelers
If you are one of the hundreds of El Pasoans who have been putting off getting your passport because of your 9-to-5, here’s your chance to finally cross it off your to-do list and just in time before the holiday travel season!
The El Paso Passport Agency is hosting a special Saturday event on September 13th with extended hours from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Anson Mills Building, 303 N. Oregon St., El Paso, TX 79901.
Normally, you’d need an appointment to apply, but not this time—no appointment needed. Just walk in, get it done, and you’re on your way. This event is ideal for anyone who can’t make it in during the week.
Here’s what you’ll need to bring when applying for a passport:
- A completed DS-11 application form (you can fill it out online and print, or grab one at the agency).
- Proof of U.S. citizenship (like a certified birth certificate or naturalization certificate).
- A valid government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, military ID, etc.).
- A passport photo (bring your own or have one taken on-site for a fee).
- Payment (no cash accepted—only credit cards, debit cards, or contactless payment).
Applicants can choose routine or expedited service, but note: passports will not be issued on the spot for urgent travel. Instead, your completed passport will be mailed directly to you.
Passport Costs:
- First-time adult passport book: $130 application fee + $35 execution fee.
- Passport card (good for land/sea travel to Canada, Mexico & the Caribbean): $30 + $35 execution fee.
- Kids under 16: $100 total for a passport book.
Expedited service adds $60.

So whether you’re planning that dream vacation or just want to be ready for future adventures, this Saturday passport event is your golden ticket. Click Here for more details on what you will need before you head out to get your passport!
