Christmas has arrived in Texas, and as we eagerly await Santa's descent down the chimney, we’re surrounded by candy canes on the trees, hot cocoa warming by the fire, and, most importantly, festive music. Some of my all-time favorite Christmas songs include Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas," The Temptations' "Silent Night," and Michael Jackson's "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus."

When I first learned that some people dislike a particular Christmas song, I couldn't help but think they were the ultimate Scrooges. After all, who doesn’t enjoy a Christmas tune, even if it’s a classic carol sung in your home?

A data outlet, Financial Buzz, recently analyzed Google Trends to discover which Christmas songs were favored in each state over the years. For another year in a row, Texas's top choice is none other than Jose Feliciano's "Feliz Navidad." It doesn’t matter if you don’t speak Spanish; everyone in Texas knows "Feliz Navidad." While the song is also enjoyed in other states, Yahoo Life reports that many outside Texas find it rather annoying, claiming it to be the worst Christmas song ever. But don't worry, Jose Feliciano Texas will continue to belt out "Feliz Navidad" with full enthusiasm; it’s a classic here, and it always will be!
