The Peaceful Belton Spot Where Central Texans Go to Escape the Noise
Protecting your mental health should be mandatory, in my opinion. A lot of times, people don’t even recognize that they’re dealing with depression, anxiety, or trauma, and that is truly sad. Taking walks, clearing your mind, and writing in journals are some of the things I know have helped me with my mental health. Sometimes, you just need to count to 10, reset, breathe in, breathe out, and find a peaceful place where you can truly clear your mind.

Need to Clear Your Mind? Belton’s Chalk Ridge Falls Is Calling Your Name
For me, that spot would be Chalk Ridge Park in Belton. Chalk Ridge has a beautiful trail where you can walk solo or with family members. The sound of the birds and the water from the nearby waterfall can be incredibly relaxing. When you just want to get away, play your music, and sit with nature, Chalk Ridge will always be a go-to spot for me.
Scenic Views and Shaded Trails: Why Chalk Ridge Is Central Texas’s Top Haven
Not to mention, the waterfall is something that many people enjoy seeing. Anytime I feel a little overwhelmed by the daily exhaustion of work, motherhood, and just life in general, I try to take a quick trip to the area, breathe in, breathe out, and simply reset. A lot of times, it works for me. If you feel like you’re dealing with depression, anger, anxiety, or trauma that you need to work through, I would suggest taking a walk along the trail at Chalk Ridge. It changes my mood, and it could do the same for you.
