Tax day is upon us here in Texas, which means if you haven't filed those bad boys yet, today is the day. Whether you're getting a refund or you owe the IRS more money, you have to file those taxes or risk penalties.

Now, there's a good chance if you owe them, you're going to be asking for an extension on them, and that's ok, it's why it's there. Point blank, today can be the most stressful day of the year for many.

There are a lot of businesses in Texas that recognize this, and they want to make sure they're taking care of you. So here's a list of just a few places that have decided to cut you a break and give you a heck of a deal for the day.

BURGER KING

Feeling hungry but just paid Uncle Sam an inordinate amount of money? Burger King has you covered. If you're a member of their Royal Perks program, they're hooking you up with a 1-cent cheeseburger.

There is a $1 minimum purchase required in order to get it, but hey, you need a drink to wash it down, right? If you're not a member of their rewards program, join it and take advantage of this deal.

HOOTERS

Looking to unwind after writing that big check? Hooters is a great place to do that, even without a deal to be had. Well, Hooters is still giving you that deal. They'll have appetizers available for just $4.15 for the entire day.

The appetizers you can get for that price? Well, they're some of the favorites. Mozzarella sticks, fried pickles, and buffalo shrimp are just a few of the ones available at that killer price.

KONA ICE

I mean, who doesn't love a good cup of shaved ice? My kids went bananas at the baseball tournament this weekend with them, and now you can get some...for free, which is a whole lot less than I paid for the 400 I bought this weekend.

If you see that Kona Ice truck out and about today, just walk up to it, say you'd like your free shaved ice, and cool off from the sweating you were doing writing that check.

KRISPY KREME

Nothing is better than a dozen glazed donuts from Krispy Kreme, especially when that light in the window is on. Well, they're letting you indulge big time this tax day by offering up a dozen glazed donuts for just the sales tax in the state.

There is a minor catch here. You have to order two dozen through the app for pickup or delivery, and you have to pay full price for the first dozen. The second dozen is just the sales tax. Still, it's a heck of a deal, if you ask me.
