Texas Lottery Confirms New $1 Million Winner After Ticket Sold at Houston 7-Eleven
Houston has a new millionaire, courtesy of the Texas Lottery. I would say a full-blown shopping spree is in order for the lucky lottery player. However, they may actually decide to spend it responsibly, which is honorable. But still, I think they should spoil themselves at least a little bit, anyway.
I can’t imagine the rush of winning a life-changing amount of money. I probably wouldn't believe it at first. And then I would do my best not to have a heart attack after I realized that I had, in fact, really won $1 million.

Of course, I have no idea how the person who won $1 million in the Ultimate Millions game reacted. All I know is that they bought the ticket at the 7-Eleven located at 18555 State Highway 249, in Houston, and that they wisely chose to remain anonymous, according to a press release.
And hey – that 7-Eleven could wind up being a big winner as well. Since they were the retailer that sold the winning ticket, they’re eligible for a $10,000 bonus through the Texas Lottery’s Retailer Bonus Program.
That was the first of four $1 million jackpots to be claimed in Ultimate Millions. If you’re willing to part ways with a $50 bill, you just might be the next Texas millionaire. There are also nine $25,000 prizes that have yet to be claimed in the game.
Aside from awarding billions of dollars in prizes to players since its inception in 1992, the Texas Lottery has also given billions of dollars to support education in the Lone Star State, as well as Texas veterans.
