Another college football season in the books. Congratulations to the Hoosiers on wining the championship last night, but it looks like Texas schools just set a new record.

For the first time in College Football history, a state has SIX teams represented in the final AP poll of the season. The highest before was three schools from the same state on the final poll of the season. Here is which Texas schools made the final top 25.

Congratulations to all the schools that made the top 25, you can see the full list here. The season just ended and CBS Sports decided to make their own top 25 for next year. These are who they're predicted to be the highest ranked teams come August. As you can see, a few Texas schools also made the cut.

The national champions fall to number eight, while three Texas schools take the top ten. The University of Houston still makes their ranking at 21 and Southern Methodist University sneaks in at 23. Sadly the University of North Texas falls out of the CBS ranking, sorry Mean Green.

Obviously we have a long way to go before the next college football season kicks off. Hopefully all of our Texas schools continue to dominate and make it an interesting season for those all important rivalry games.
