After campaigning across Europe last year with their biggest stage production to date, Iron Maiden have finally brought the "Legacy of the Beast" tour to North America, kicking off their summer trek in Sunrise, Florida last night (July 18). See the set list and footage below.

Historically, Iron Maiden rarely switch up their set, and with a production this involved, there was little chance of that happening on the North American run. The set list remained the same as it was in Europe, opening with "Aces High" after the clip of Winston Churchill's speech which famously opened the 1985 live set Live After Death.

The set shifted focus from themes of war to religion as the night progressed and Maiden's stage reflected these themes, shedding the tattered green covering to reveal stunning cathedral walls. Bruce Dickinson once again dual-wielded flamethrowers during "Flight of Icarus," a song Maiden fans had been pining to see live for decades.

As the end drew near, the stage depicted a Hellish inferno, providing the optimal setting for "The Number of the Beast," in particular.

The set consisted of 16 songs spanning the Maiden catalog from their self-titled debut through 2006's A Matter of Life and Death. As always, "Iron Maiden" closed out the regular portion of the set, giving way to a three-song encore of "The Evil That Men Do," "Hallowed Be Thy Name" and the closer, "Run to the Hills."
