What better way to benefit from being banned from playing at a commercial theme park than to launch a new merchandise line around it? Ice Nine Kills have been banned from playing at the Disney Springs House of Blues in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. due to their "violent imagery." The band responded by designing a horror Disney-inspired merchandise line.

The show was set to take place at the venue April 26 with Falling in Reverse. An Ice Nine Kills fan tweeted at the band inquiring about the removal of this date from their tour. "Disney's House of Blues in Orlando banned us from performing because of our violent imagery. It's a shame because I know I've seen Donald Duck at a show before, he's an INK fan," the band responded.

The band then took things a step further and designed merchandise featuring Disney characters dressed as horror icons including Pennywise the Clown from Stephen King's It, Freddy Krueger from A Nightmare on Elm Street and more. The merchandise set is limited-edition.

"As many of you know a certain mouse-loving enterprise has deemed us too “evil” to perform at a certain Orlando venue of theirs. Rather than protest, we are accepting this seemingly misguided assumption with great honor. To celebrate the banishment, we are dedicating our ‘Nightmare on the Ninth’ monthly special to the launch of TooEvilForChildren.com," the band said.

Ice Nine Kills are known for their horror-inspired songs. Their most recent album, 2018's The Silver Scream, features nods to A Nightmare on Elm Street, It, The Shining, Jaws, Saw and more. "IT is the End" is inspired by It, you can listen below. See their tour dates here.
