Every Time I Die Vocalist Keith Buckley Is Now an Ordained Minister
Armed with the credentials to prove it, Every Time I Die and the Damned Things vocalist Keith Buckley has become an ordained minister. Plus, the musician is now available to officiate weddings. Seriously.
That's the update the rocker shared with his followers this week. Buckley brandished his newly bestowed ministerial bona fides after a successful performance with The Damned Things Saturday (Sept. 14) at Chicago's Riot Fest. See the vocalist's announcement down toward the bottom of this post.
"Eat my shorts motherfuckers I'm god now you can't tell me shit," Buckley touted Monday (Sept. 16) alongside an image of his Credentials of Ministry certificate supplied by the non-denominational Universal Life Church. In a subsequent message, he offered an email contact, adding, "holyshitweddings@gmail.com if anyone here is serious."
According to Universal Life Church's website, ULC ordains ministers in order to "empower people to take control of their own spiritual life. The ULC also fights for the rights of its ordained ministers to ensure that everyone has the right to religious freedom." The church encourages their ministers to "practice their religion in whatever manner they feel most comfortable."
Perhaps you too could become an ordained ULC minister while Every Time I Die begin recording their new album, the follow-up to 2016's Low Teens. Last month, the metalcore outfit announced the lineup for the 2019 edition of their annual "'TID the Season" holiday concert for this December.
