Celebrate Earth Day at the new Children's Adventure Garden from 10-Noon this Saturday. The Garden is located behind the Southside Recreation Center, 2750 Ben Ficklin Road.
The People Plant Connection invites you to bring the family out and learn about rainwater harvesting, composting, worm farming, and more. There's lots of fun activities for children and plenty of useful information for parents. For more information, go to

Volunteers are still needed to help clean up our community this Saturday from 9-Noon. YASS, the Upper Colorado River Authority and the City of San Angelo have teamed up and you can help by volunteering to clean up the banks of the Red Arroyo River along with debris from the yards of senior citizens. All volunteers receive free food at Buffalo Wild Wings after all projects have been completed.

The San Angelo Western Dance Club will have a dance with T.Gozney Thornton & the Old Hat Band at the KC Hall, 3636 N. Bryant, from 7-11 this Saturday night. Admission is $25.00 per couple or $15.00 per person. Call 277-7281 for more information.

The San Angelo Symphony's Family Pops Concert features "The Texas Tenors" this Saturday night at 7:30 at the Junell Center. Since their appearance on "America's Got Talent", the Texas Tenors have performed over 800 shows around the world.

The San Angelo Boxing Club presents the West Texas Junior Olympic Box-Off at the Tom Green 4H Building on Hwy 67. Saturday's bouts start at 6:00 pm and Sunday the action gets underway at 1:00 pm. TIckets are $15.00 for one day, $25.00 for both days.
Between 10 and 15 teams will be participating and you can call Sel Trejo at 325-650-2657 for more information.

The San Angelo YMCA will have their annual Healthy Kids Day from 11-2 and kids can enjoy swimming, activities, games, sports, food and more. Families who join the YMCA this Saturday will have their joining fee waived. Call the YMCA at 655-9106 for more information.
