Ezekiel Elliott got his big deal last year just before the regular season started. Next in line of priority for the Cowboys is locking up Dak Prescott.

Prescott was talking with ESPN's Sage Steele about the contract and he believes the two sides will be able to come to an agreement saying:

There's a lot of things that have to come into play when you're talking about a contract. Never just look at the money, never just look at what people see or the attention-grabber. There's a lot of details to it. There's people that know that handle that, so I'm leaving that up to my agent and I have all the confidence in both sides.

If, for any reason, the Cowboys aren't able to lock up Prescott with a deal before free agency officially hits in March, the team will most likely use the franchise tag to buy themselves more time to get a long term deal worked out.
