Courtney Love Tried to Sell Her Abandoned House for $320,000
Despite Courtney Love's property on the western outskirts of Olympia, Wash. being in a state of disarray, it was still put on the market for $320,000. The Hole frontwoman purchased the estate following the death of her husband Kurt Cobain in 1995 for $447,000.
The listing by Virgil Adams Real Estate and agent Spence Weigand says the house is in need of "everything," which seems accurate, judging by the pictures in our gallery below. The three-bedroom, two-bathroom complex is 2,302 square feet and features a detached two-car garage alongside a guest cottage that has almost been completely ruined by fire. The property also includes an eight-stall horse barn.
The full listing description reads:
Roll up your sleeves and dive into this major fixer! It's worth it given its beautiful, private, and storied site/chain of title! Beautiful, pastoral setting but just minutes from all amenities. Large, level parcel with frontage on Swift Creek. Fantastic barn with eight stalls and holding pens. The main home needs a ton of work (also known as "everything"), and the guest house has fire damage. Not for the feint of heart, but the potential is rewarding. Make it yours!
Surprisingly, the listing is currently labeled as pending, so it would seem an offer has been made. An official price has yet to be revealed. You can check out pictures of the full estate below.
