Metallica’s eight-concert run in Mexico City has begun at the Palacia de los Deportes. A video of the ‘best effects’ during the opening show on Saturday, July 28 is now available (watch below). The nine minute clip includes shots of various pyro and lighting effects, including what appeared to be stagehands catching on fire.
Social Distortion Unveil New Animated Video for ‘Gimme the Sweet and Lowdown’
California punk rockers Social Distortion have released a new video from their 2011 album ‘Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes.’ Olya and Vera Ishchuk, known as ‘Madtwins,’ have produced an animated video for the song ‘Gimme the Sweet and Lowdown.’ It depicts a man in the midst of drug and alcohol abuse who eventually ends up being chased by an axe-wielding maniac.
Danko Jones to Release New Album in October
Canadian hard rockers Danko Jones have announced details of their upcoming sixth studio album. ‘Rock and Roll is Black and Blue’ will be released Oct. 9. It’s described as ‘13 tracks that are bolder, brasher and brawnier than anything they’ve attempted before.’
Former Misfits Singer Michale Graves Busted on Pot Charges
Michale Graves (real name Michael Emanuel) was arrested July 23rd at a border checkpoint in Kennedy County, Texas, and charged with possession of six grams of marijuana. The former Misfits singer, touring with his solo band, was jailed overnight and forced to miss the band’s July 24 show in El Paso, Texas.
