As a native of the Sun City, I have been in El Paso all my life. I graduated from Franklin in 2015 and from UTEP in 2019. After graduating high school, I embarked upon a sports journalism route in college at UTEP's student publication, The Prospector, where I served as Sports Editor, Editor-in-Chief and Web Editor for a span of four years. For the last four years, I have been covering UTEP, the Chihuahuas, prep sports and just about everything in the Sun City. Before entering my junior year in college, I took my LSAT and was set for law school upon graduation. That quickly changed with opportunities that I received at 600 ESPN, where I have found my new home. My favorite teams are the Los Angeles Rams, Boston Celtics, and the St. Louis Cardinals. Paying College Athletes? The Governing Body Supports Endorsements for Players
The NCAA governing body met on Wednesday and agreed to support the proposal that allows college athletes to sign endorsement contracts and receive payments for outside work with the condition that the university is not involved in any payments.
