City of San Angelo Recreation Division’s Youth Basketball Registration Begins

Registration for the City of San Angelo Recreation Division’s youth basketball program for ages 4-14 has begun and continues through Nov. 14.Registration can be completed at the Recreation offices in Santa Fe Crossing, 702 S. Chadbourne St. The cost is $60 for individual players or $450 for a team. Late registration will be accepted Nov. 17-19 at a cost of $80 per individual player and $500 for a team. Individual registration can also be completed online atteamsideline.com/sanangelo, but a birth certificates must be brought to the Recreation offices.

Six age groups are offered in each of two divisions. Ages are Pee Wee (4- and 5-year-olds), 6 and under, 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U. Division 1 is for squads that register as a team; it is for more competitive teams and players. Division 2 is composed of teams created from the individual registrations.

Pee Wee games begin Jan. 16 and will be on Friday nights. All other divisions begin play Jan. 17 and will play on Saturdays. A preseason tournament with paid entry of $175 will be offered. The season will consist of six games with a chance to advance to the playoffs at season’s end and potentially a berth in the state tournament in Waco.
